Student Legal Services (SLS) - Funding for Counseling Attorney for Students
This project provides free and confidential legal counseling to currently registered UC Berkeley students, offering advice, guidance, and coaching for their legal questions, rights, obligations, and processes. Seeking funding to hire a second attorney for Student Legal Services to expand available services to the student population. Funding will support the salary for a second attorney to support growing caseload and provide sustainability to continue services in future years.

Bear Pantry
This Project will continue and expand funding for Bear Pantry, a resource serving basic needs of residents at University Village, Home to students with children or dependents, international students, and students of color. Funding will support staffing, space expansion, additional supplies, and data collection/assessment production

The Mutual Aid Fund
The project will support the expansion of the Graduate Assembly Mutual Aid fund, a mechanism within the Basic Needs Team of the Graduate Assembly to provide support for students experiencing unexpected emergencies (health, housing, food insecurity). Funding will support stipends for students managing the distribution of the funds, as well as the crisis support funding.

Muslim Mental Health Initiative (MMHI)
This proposal supports mental health services provided by MMHI. MMHI offers free counseling sessions from Muslim therapists representing different religious, gender, socioeconomic statuses. Funding would also go towards social events, workshops and support groups.

Re-entry Wellness Initiative
Program will provide a wellness station for students to pick up snacks, core school supplies, and relaxing items as well as wellness workshop series catered to re-entry students. Funding will provide these services in the Re-Entry Community Space already in use by Re-Entry students, and support a peer
advisor to oversee success of new programs.

Student Recreation Opportunity Fund
This program will provide one recreation activity each semester for low income students, including intramural sports, club sports, Cal Adventures, etc. Students requesting SROF will not be required to present any type of evidence providing their low income status.

Spectrum Connect - Autism Services at Berkeley
The ASUC Mental Health Week event happens at the end of the Program will fund social-emotional skill building and community building events for students with Autism or other co-occurring conditions. Funding will support supplies for a series of weekly and monthly events and also for the annual Neurodiversity Symposium.

RecWell Student Driven Request for Additional Squat Racks
Project funding for additional weight lifting equipment (specifically squat racks) to support the growing student population and RSF facility use. Would reduce wait times for using equipment and promote health and fitness for a larger population.

T-Cal: A trans, non-binary, & gender non-conforming peer support group
This project provides accessible and feasible wellness services for student parents by including their children in the programming. The program will hold student-led, bi-weekly support circles that target the needs of student parents and children, for example, healthy relationships. Scholarships for students and their families to support wellness related issues will also be provided.

Harm Prevention and Wellness Specialist
Project plans to hire a Harm Prevention and Wellness Specialist to implement DEIB workshops and SVSH training for 1,200 student organizations. The Specialist will address inequities in highly selective student organizations and promote wellness by equipping orgs with training and resources needed to create an equitable environment within student orgs.

Wellness Support for Black/African Student Organizations
This project provides holistic wellness services to Black/African students through RSO support. Funding will provide salary for an organizational support advisor dedicated to supporting 50 African/Black student organizations on campus.

Veteran Wellness Through Awe and Healing Outdoors
This project would expand low-cost outdoor recreation offerings for the student veteran population. Funds will support the payment of instructors/guides for events, food, and transportation. Proponents will be offering these events to Student Veterans, about 600 students at Cal.

Contraceptive Access Program
This program provides infrastructure and supplies to install free condom dispensers in high-traffic residence hall areas to promote accessible contraceptive options. Funding will provide 17 condom dispensers and condoms in bulk to install in residence hall common spaces (lobbies, bathrooms, etc).

Historical Fencing Club of Berkeley
This program will expand outreach and supplies for activities within the weekly Historical Fencing Club meetings. Funds will allow the org to purchase additional equipment, protective gear and supplies for events to provide a unique rigorous activity for members to take part in.

SERC Nature Education & Wellness Together
This project provides meaningful experiences in nature and climate science education programs to participants in the Nature
Education & Wellness Together Program. The program intentionally seeks participation from traditionally underrepresented populations in outdoor recreation. Funding will go toward student salary, and trip transportation/supplies.

The Bearettes Dance Workshops
This program creates majorette-style dance classes that provide an inclusive and welcoming space for students of all
backgrounds to participate in a dance workout. Proposal funds the event facilitation fees for hosting one dance workshop each semester.
